ENRICHMENT PROGRAMS

The Park Ridge Board of Education is offering Enrichment Programs for the Spring of 2025 at both East Brook and West Ridge. The programs will be available for registration beginning on Thursday, February 20th and end during the first week the program is scheduled to run. A link to each program’s flyer is provided below. East Brook

· Tuesday, Grades 3-6, maximum 12 students

Games Club will teach and encourage kids to play board games. These games will be focused on logic, problem-solving, and social skills.

· Tuesday: Grades 3-6, maximum 8 students

Readers Theatre Club is an engaging program where students bring stories to life through expressive reading and performance. The club will encourage students to collaborate and display their inner creativity through a wide range of literature.

· Monday: Grades K-1, maximum 8 students

In Storybook Adventures, students will engage with a new fiction storybook. With each new book, students will participate in a wide range of creative activities, from crafts to STEM activities to hands-on adventures!

Art Club

· Tuesday: Grades 1-3, maximum 10 students

· Thursday: Grades 4-6, maximum 10 students

In the Art Club, students will explore a variety of fun and creative art techniques each week. Every session will introduce a new method, such as painting, watercolor, collage-making, and more, to inspire kids and help them discover their artistic abilities.

The K-4 LEGO Club is an engaging program designed to foster creativity, critical thinking, and teamwork among elementary students. Through guided and open-ended building challenges, participants use LEGO bricks to develop problem-solving skills and explore concepts in STEM, design, and architecture.

Writing Graphic Novels

· Thursday, Grades 3-5, maximum 10 students

In this group, kids will have the opportunity to unleash their imagination through creative writing and illustrating. They will learn how to bring stories to life through the art of writing graphic novels.

Calligraphy & Crafts

· Tuesday: Grades 4-6, maximum 7 students

· Thursday, Grades 4-6, maximum 7 students

Calligraphy & Crafts will focus on the art of calligraphy for beginners and teach students who have a love for art and design this form of handwriting.

· Tuesday: Grades K-3, maximum 12 students

Learning About Culture Through Art Club will explore art forms from different parts of the world (Asia, South America, etc.), with each session featuring a mini lesson on a specific cultural art style, followed by creating a related art piece.
