About the Superintendent:

Patrick Bernardo, Ph.D. 

I am honored to serve as Superintendent for the Park Ridge School District. Park Ridge is a small, caring community that boasts strong support of its three schools: East Brook Elementary, West Ridge Elementary, and Park Ridge Jr./Sr. High School. I have been a part of this community as an administrator for almost a decade now, and I remain committed to the idea of reaching “Every Owl Every Day.” Park Ridge’s small size and strong, dedicated staff allow us to provide a welcoming and caring environment. It is a wonderful place to grow and learn.

My previous nine years in Park Ridge, first as Supervisor of Instructional Technology, and then Director of Curriculum, have allowed me to support strong educational initiatives in our district. I look forward to continuing that support as Superintendent.   

I hold a Ph.D. in Political Science and Philosophy from Fordham University, an M.A. in Political Science from New York University, an M.A. in Educational Leadership from Ramapo College of New Jersey, and a B.A. in Political Science from William Paterson College (now University). I'm a dedicated life-long learner; I love reading and learning new skills. Most of all, I enjoy spending time with my wife and two boys, one of whom is a student athlete, and the other a budding musician.
