Please note that before school opened in September, all parents had to complete a health screening form assuring the district that parents would not send a child to school who is exhibiting symtpoms of COVID-19. The district will no longer be conducting daily temperature scans or require staff members to complete daily health screening forms. Please monitor your child for symptoms related to COVID-19 and call the health office for further guidance if symptoms develop.

Students should not attend school when feeling ill.

For school settings, the CDC recommends that students and staff with the following symptoms be promptly isolated from others and excluded from school if they exhibit:

At least two of the following symptoms:

    • Shivers or chills
    • Muscle aches
    • Headache
    • Sore throat
    • Nausea or vomiting
    • Diarrhea
    • Fatigue
    • Congestion or runny nose

OR At least one of the following symptoms:

    • Fever (over 100.4)
    • Cough
    • Shortness of breath
    • Difficulty breathing
    • New loss of smell
    • New loss of taste

If students develop these symptoms while at school, they will be evaluated by the School Nurse and isolated until they can be promptly picked up by a parent or guardian.

A COVID negative PCR test is required for symptomatic individuals even with an alternate diagnosis, such as a positive strep or influenza swab.

If students or staff have these symptoms outside of school, they should remain at home and contact the school for further instructions.  A COVID negative PCR test is required prior to returning to school.
