Summer Instrumental Program
The Park Ridge School District’s "Summer Instrumental Program" was conceived in 1986. The program runs from the end of June through July. All students in grades 4-12 in the Park Ridge school district are eligible to attend. The program includes lessons on all concert band instruments in small groups. There is a small fee which pays for lessons, books, and materials.
Classes are thirty minutes and run from Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm. The concentrated study enables musicians to progress rapidly. We accomplish in one month what would take an entire school year to do. Lessons are given by professional musicians, specializing in all woodwind, brass, and percussion instruments.
Instrumental rentals are available at a reasonable rate through a variety of vendors. A limited amount of instruments are supplied to district students. Summer enrollment forms can be picked up at any school main office beginning in February. You can also find the forms on the district website.
